Course description
In this lecture we provide fundamental knowledge of shear properties of soils and stability problems. The stability problems include earth pressures, bearing capacities and slope stability.
Real issues concerned with fill dams and soil structures are also offered.
Expected Learning
You will study fundamental, theoretical and advanced knowledge of shear properties of soils. The shear properties of soils are the most important among soil mechanical properties, and they are applied to earth pressures, bearing capacities and slope stabilities.
