Course description |
The theme of this course in this semester is “energy and environmental education”. The importance of education for sustainable development (ESD) was highlighted in the World Summit on Sustainable Development (Johannesburg Summit) in 2002 and the Decade of ESD has been implemented worldwide from 2005 to 2014. In this course, after reviewing the background and basic framework of environmental education and ESD after the Grate East Japan Earthquake, we will consider “the environment and education currently needed” while experiencing participatory learning activities that have been accumulated in the field of energy and environmental education. |
Expected Learning |
To develop ones original perception on the environment and education, and how we should understand the development that human beings have implemented, from the aspect of ESD and energy and environmental education.
