Course description |
This course explores the effects of forest management practice on various forest function. The objective of this course is to learn theory of silviculture, management of artificial and natural forests, and forest protection. And this is also to learn science technology of their backgrounds. Students will learn basic management practice and theory of artificial and natural forests, and learn about climatic, mammal, insect and disease damages of forests and their control methods. |
Expected Learning |
Students need to understand silviculture and forest protection theories and techniques. And you need to gain knowledge of good productivity and healthy forest management. |
Course schedule |
1-3. Wildlife manegement in forest 4-5. Insct management in forest 6-13. Forest damages and their control methods 14. Final examination. 15. Returning final examination and reports, explaining the assignment and Q & A. |
Prerequisites |
It is recommended that students have completed the below courses or take the below courses together. Forest Ecology, Forest Dendrology, Forest Environment, Practice on Forest Dendrology, Practice on Silviculture, Practice on Forest Health and Arboriculture. |
