Aim: The aim of this course is to understand a lot of aspects of nature conservation/protection and to recognize the culture of nature conservation rooted in each nation and/or region’s culture and thoughts deeply. Summary: The course provides: 1) Cases of nature conservation movement by resident people and/or citizen in Japan and some countries overseas; 2) Thoughts and philosophy on nature and/or nature conservation in North America and Japan; 3) Actual activities on nature conservation in Japan, Africa, Southeast Asia. |
