Course description
As typified by the enactment of the Basic Law on Shokuiku (food and nutrition education), the concept to relate the dietary with the development of children or education is increasingly prevailing. It is apparent that issues of dietary strongly reflect the situation of a society and the way of living of people. In this sense, the dietary or food does have a significant impact on the development of a person. In this course, we will explore the present situation and possibility of Shokuiku/Shokuno education, considering the essential meaning of the human act of “eating”.
Expected Learning
To develop an original perception on how we should understand the relationship between food and agriculture/pasturage as human activities, from the aspect of Shokuiku.
