Course description
The purpose of this course is to introduce on-the-job training of companion animal practice.

In this course, students will learn medical interview as well as basic skills necessary to proceed internal medicine practice for companion animals.
Expected Learning
Students will study basic skills of companion animal practice for internal medicine, This includes medical interview, physical exam, blood and urine sampling and medication, as well as blood test, urinalysis, fecal exam, dermatologic and otologic exam, gastrointestinal endoscope.

Prerequisites
This is part of Courses of Small Animal Internal Medicine and a compulsory subject in Cooperative Department of Veterinary Medicine.
In addition to the period that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references specified below.

Assessment/Grading
Examination 100%. Students who attend >two thirds of the classes and obtain a score of >60 points among the total of 100 points will receive credit for this course. Students who could not fulfill the above criteria shall not be allowed to re-take the exam.
