Course description
This course provides practical training in practical testing procedures and interpreting test results with regard to companion animals that will be receiving veterinary care, such as dogs and cats.
Expected Learning
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to understand the principles behind laboratory tests for small animals and techniques and ways to assess those tests.

Prerequisites
Practical training will be conducted by several instructors in veterinary internal medicine in coordination with Training in Basic Clinical Care for Small Animals. Joint orientation will be conducted when the first class meets and the schedule for practical training, the exam, and grading will be explained.

Those students with a score of 60 points or higher on the exam will receive credit for this course.
Students who attend less than 70% of this course can not get this credit.
