Course description
The object of this course is to develop reading and writing skills in academic Japanese. Students learn vocabulary, grammatical structures and expressions by reading a variety of authentic texts and watching video clips in the scientific fields. Classes also focus on developing presentation skills based on the topics the students have discussed during the course.
Expected Learning

Prerequisites
This course carries 1 credit. In addition to 30 hours you spend in the class, and 10 hours in completing the essay task and presentation preparation, you are expected to prepare for, and review, the classes spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University for each class, using the handouts and the reference books specified below.
