Course description
Students will learn basic communicative skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) of Spanish based on the precise knowledge of the basic vocabulary and grammar.

This course is offered as the second part of the two-part Spanish language course of the Global Language and Cultural Studies.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1. ask questions, answer to the question, make requests and offers.
2. conjugate the indefinite of a basic verb properly according to the time and mood.
3. understand simple writing.
4. have images of one of foreign languages and cultures other than those of English-speaking countries.

Prerequisites
It is desirable to take “Spanish for Intercultural Understsanding” to acquire comprehensively the basic skill of the language.
Students are recommended to spend 45 minutes in preparing for each class, and another 45 minutes in completing assignments and revising the class.

Final exam 70%
Class participation and results of quizzes 30%
Students absent more than five times are not qualified to take the final exam.
