Course description
This course aims to improve each student’s ability to use Chinese effectively in its cultural context by developing the appropriate communication approach and increasing cultural awareness.

This course is designed as an advanced course for second-year students or above in the Second Foreign Language Studies.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1.read chinese sentences aloud by right pronunciation.
2.understand the complex sentences with the aid of a dictionary.
3.write the simple essays in Chinese.

Prerequisites
Students are requested to take "Chinese for beginnersⅠ・Ⅱ" and "Chinese step-up".
Students are recommended to spend 45 minutes in preparing for each class, and another 45 minutes in completing assignments and revising the class.

Assessment/Grading
After having participated in class for one full semester regularly (30%) and after having passed the final exam (70%) students are entitled to obtain a certificate at the end of the course.
