Course description
This lecture aims at developing students’ basic communication skills in Japanese through communication with international students and through writing training. To communicate with international students, we usually use a common language. In the lecture, the concept of ‘Japanese language as a common language’ will be introduced and discussed firstly. You will study what kind of Japanese expressions are easy/difficult for Japanese learners and how to use ‘easy’ Japanese.

This course is designed as one of the courses for 'Science, Technology and Society' in general education curriculum.
Expected Learning
Knowing Japanese language better develops your communication skills.
1. Students majoring in the science and engineering field can communicate with people with different mother tongue and people with different cultures and understand what others say.
2. Understand the importance of communication through cooperative work among students.
3. You can logically tell what you want to say.

(5) Communication with foreigners Practice 4: Discussion for group presentation 1 Make presentation files with the same theme divided into groups of several people

Prerequisites
It is necessary to actively participate in the class discussion. It is inportant to understand not only how to express to others, but also how to absorb the opinions of others. The discussions through question and answer are required.
In addition to 30 hours you spend in the class, you are expected to prepare for and review the classes as above, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University.
