Course description
In this course, new concepts such as enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs energy will be introduced to deeply understand physical and chemical changes. This course becomes the foundation of acquisition of the Physical Chemistry II and III.
Expected Learning
Students who mastered this course will be able to tackle chemistry from the viewpoint of thermodynamics.

Week 2: Equation of state for a perfect gas
Week 3 and 4: Real gas
Week 5 - 7: The first law of thermodynamics

Week 14: The appearance of a stable phase
