Course description
In this course, we will learn Fourier series, Fourier transform and their basic properties. As an application we will consider methods of solving partial differential equations such as wave and heat differential equations.
Expected Learning
1. To understand the basic notions of Fourier series and transform
2. To be able to calculate Fourier series of a given periodic function
3. To understand and apply the method of Fourier series and transform to solving basic partial differential equations
