Course description
Making appropriate physical model of dynamic behavior and vibration properties of the mechanical system is very important. In this lecture, based on the fundamental knowledge about single degree of freedom model, two/multiple degrees of freedom model are discussed.
This is the major subject of this course.
Expected Learning
The standard of this lecture is to understand a vibration analysis of 2-degrees of freedom system and a modal analysis of multi-degrees of freedom system.

10 Equation of motion of multiple degrees of freedom system by Lagrange equation
11 Natural frequencies of multiple degree of freedom system

13 Utilization of modal analysis
14 Free/forced vibration of multiple degrees of freedom system
15 final examination
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics are necessary.
Completion of Machinery Dynamics I is desired.
In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references specified below.
