Course description |
In this class you will be doing a combination of speaking, writing, reading and listening. The emphasis will be on increasing your communication skills, along with your information literacy skills, critical thinking skills, as well as academic and research skills, in addition to a focus on biotechnology and life science, using both a thematic and structural approach. |

Prerequisites |
This course carries 1 credit. In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, they are recommended to prepare for, and review, the classes using the class materials, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the university for each class. Students must attend at least 2/3 of a course in order to receive credit for that course. If students do not fully attend the class for two times, it should be counted as one time of absence. |

Task Based Learning: at times you will be given handouts (materials) in class, do make sure you complete the assignments by answering questions and completing practice exercises. In addition, you will be asked at times to access materials from the Internet, print out materials, and bring it to class. You will be asked to submit assignments, vocabulary practice and independent study projects - a schedule of submission dates will be give to you in class. |
