Course description |
It aims at recognizing and understanding how it is greatly concerned with our life, a regular course eye considering the figure and view of a present-day organic chemistry industry. Moreover, not only petrochemical industry but the organic chemistry product manufacturing technique and the global environment problems which took up the remarkable fine chemicals of progress greatly in recent years, and also used biotechnology are explained. Although it advances along with a text fundamentally, I take up also about the newest research-and-development topics in a company, and have you hold the image of the actual research-and-development business in a company. Since it is impossible, explaining all the contents of the text takes up an unclear place preponderantly an important place. Participants should take “Organic Chemistry I”, “Organic Chemistry II”, and "Organic Chemistry III". |
Expected Learning |
Understand the foundation of the organic industrial chemistry from petrochemistry to fine chemicals. Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps. |
Course schedule |
The 1st time Introduction: The global image of organic chemistry industry, and the difference of Mass and fine chemicals and the structural aspect of each type of industry are explained. Furthermore, the system of the organic chemistry industry from research and development to production/sale is explained. The 2nd time Oil refining: The flow of the product from oil refining used as the foundation of organic chemistry industry to petrochemistry is learned in 2-5 times. Moreover, coal chemistry and high-polymer-chemistry industry are also explained while mixing the latest topics. The 3rd time Petrochemistry (1) The 4th time Petrochemistry (2) The 5th time Coal chemistry The 6th time Macromolecules The 7th time Summarization of the previous classes (from 1st to 6th), Midterm exam The 8th time Oil and fats/food In 8-14 times, a remarkable fine-chemicals industry of progress is explained in recent years, and relation of the Maske Michal industry studied to the one to 6th time and fine-chemicals industry is learned. Furthermore, the organic chemistry product manufacturing technique and the global environment problems using biotechnology are also explained. The 9th time Toiletries The 10th time Paint/dye The 11th time Spice The 12th time Medicine The 13th time Agricultural chemicals The 14th time Biotechnology The 15th time Summarization of the previous classes (from 8th to 14th), Term-end examination |
