Course description
Student teams of 2-3 persons makes small robots with the function required for a robot competition.
Every team designs and manufactures it according to the rule (size, material, power supply, etc.), using the knowledge and skills acquired in basic education course.
In final class, a robot competition is held and all teams compete the performance of manufactured robots.
The purpose of this class is to understand engineering process by means of experiencing designing and manufacturing process.
The lecturer of this course has the firsthand experiences on engineering process in various corporates, and will describe actual examples from industry for case-studies, analyses and discussion.
Expected Learning
Leaners who successfully complete this course will be able to:
・Perform idea generation work in ordet to solve the given challenges.
・Design and manufacture the desired mechanism.
・Plan and manage the production schedule and budget.
