Course description
Production of useful goods from raw materials is one of major pillar to support Japanese economy. Meanwhile, the production is based on the designing and machining technologies. In this lecture, the classification of machining method, the features for different methods will be explained. Through the lecture, the goal to understand the principles and features of various machining methods, select the optimal method for a workpiece based on the material and accuracy will be achieved.
This subject corresponds to the specialized subject of the curriculum.
In addition, since the lecture charge of the subject has experience in charge of planning and implementation of research and development, and organizational management in a company, more practical lesson can be carried out based on his own experiences and various cases.
Expected Learning
Arrival criteria:
・ Can understand the principles and features of various processing methods.
・ Can select the processing method in consideration of the workpiece material and accuracy.

Prerequisites
Physics in general is required as the basic knowledge. Also, knowledges about mechanics of materials, fundamentals of mechanical materials, Manufacturing Processes 1, design and drawing method, etc. are needed.
In addition to the class hour, please refer to the texts and reference books, prepare and review according to the standard number of hours of our university.
