Course description |
As a required laboratory subject in the curriculum of applied physics, this laboratory course consists of 6 subjects, each of which takes 4 weeks to complete. After finishing experiments of each subject, each student will submit a report. |
Expected Learning |
(1) Able to understand experimental subjects and carry out experiments. (2) Able to analyse experimental data and obtain conclusions. (3) Able to discuss experimental results scientifically. (1) Detection of photons, fluorescence spectra of atomic hydrogen (2) Measurement of magnetization using electromagnetic induction (3) Stirling engine (4) Franck-Hertz experiment (5) X-ray and electron diffractions (6) Superconductivity |

Students are recommended to prepare for and revise the laboratory, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the laboratory handouts as well as the references specified below. |
