Course description |
The course is an integrated science on electronic and energy including generation of electricity, power substation, transmission and distribution and power system. And it is a special course for electric engineer. |
Expected Learning |
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to: 1) understand electronic, energy and environment problem; 2) understand stabilization of power system, voltage, period; 3) know the technique of fire power, nuclear energy, waterpower, alternative energy; 4) understand devices of power transformation, power transmission, power distribution. |

Week 1 Introduction to electric, energy and environment. Week 2 Constitution of power system. Objectives: understand stabilization, voltage, period and electric power liberalization about power system. Week 3 Thermoelectricity power generation. Objectives: principles, foundation, the steam character. Week 4 Thermoelectricity power generation. Objectives: energy transformation, environment strategy. Week 5 Full cell power generation. Week 6 Geothermal and photovoltaics power generation. Week 7 Nuclear energy power generation. Objectives: principles, constitute of nuclear reactor, classes of nuclear energy, safety design. Week 8 Power system modeling. Week 9 Water power generation. Objectives: installment, the fundamental hydraulics, introduction of device. Week 10 Power transformation. Objectives: installment, constitution of devices, protective relays. Week 11 Power transmission (1). Objectives: the way of power transmission, power transmission constitution. Week 12 Power transmission (2). Objectives: thunder strategy, weather strategy, cable. Week 13 Power distribution. Objectives: the way of power distribution, the property of electricity. Week 14 Other new energy. Objectives: biomass energy, wind power, semiconductor power. Week 15 Summarization. Objectives: prepare for exam. |
