This 2-credit course provides students with the foundation for the Electrical and Electronics Apparatus. This course treats DC, induction, and synchronous machines and so on. |
Expected Learning |
Objective is to fuse the knowledge that we learn electromagnetic, circuit theory, and electronic circuit. |
Course schedule |
(1)Foundation of electromagnetism: We will review the basics of electromagnetic. (2)Feature of magnetism: The goal is to understand the properties of the magnetic material. (3)The principle of DC generator and its structure are investigated. (4)Based on the formulas, the operating principle of DC machine is investigated. (5)Driving methods of DC machine are investigated. (6)Showing the real driving circuits, the operating principle of its circuits is investigated. (7)Midterm examination (8)Induction machine (A): The principle of induction machine is introduced. (9)Induction machine (B): By using mathematical formulas, the operational principle of induction machine is investigated. (10) Induction machine (C): Torque vs rotational speed curve is investigated. (11)Synchronous machine (A): The principle of synchronous generator is introduced. (12) Synchronous machine (B): By using mathematical formulas, the behavior of synchronous generator is described. (13) Synchronous machine (C): By using vector diagrams, the properties of the synchronous motor are investigated. (14)Preliminary: Topics about DC servo motor, stepping motor, linear motor are provided. (15)Final examination |
