Course description
As a required subject in the curriculum of applied physics, in this course, students will study energy band and properties of semiconductors using the basic concepts of quantum physics. Then, pn junction and metal-semiconductor interfaces are also studied.
Expected Learning
Students are expected to understand the basic concepts of solid state physics, semicondutor physics and devices.
Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps.
