Course description
This elective course is designed for students who are specializing in Information Communications Technology. It aims to develop students’ English ability in all four skills: reading, speaking, listening, and writing. The course focuses on topics related to computing and Information Communications Technology and provides students with a variety of technical reading texts combined with useful terminology and grammar pratice. In addition, pair work and group discussion activities give students opportunities to develop their oral communication skills in each lesson.
Expected Learning
In this course, students are expected to:
1. Acquire knowledge of technical terminology covered in the reading texts;
2. Demonstrate understanding and correct usage of English grammar studied in the course;
3. Participate actively in class speaking and discussion activities using English to the best of their ability.

Prerequisites
This elective course carries 1 credit. In addition to the time that students spend in the class, they are recommended to prepare for, and review, the classes using the textbook stated below, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University for each class. Students must attend at least 2/3 of a course in order to receive credit for that course. If students do not fully attend the class for two times, it will be counted as one time of absence.
