Course description
To share the basics of interdisciplinary communication in Department of International Environmental and Agricultural Science, this course provides the basics of scientific communication, such as literature survey and review, research proposal writing, and oral and poster presentation skills.

The goal of this course is to obtain the basics of scientific communication, such as literature survey and review, research proposal writing, and oral and poster presentation skills.

Prerequisites
Compulsory for the first-year students of Department of International Environmental and Agricultural Science (IEAS) who enrolled in October 2018. Each student needs to submit a one-page research proposal and make a short oral presentation of his/her research plan.

Assessment/Grading
Positive participation in the class: 30%, assignments: 70% (submitting a one-page research proposal and making a short oral presentation)
