Course description
Lectures given by the expert gerontologists in Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology.
The internal and environmental components are major player for the aging processes besides the genetic information of individuals. In this course, we will review the elderly’s physiological responses to environmental factors in the aspects of physiology, cells and molecules.
Expected Learning
To understand the basic terms and concepts given in lectures.
To understand the role of physiological phenomena mentioned in lectures.
To understand the influence on aging process of the functional alterations in the level of molecular to an individual.
