Course description
【Purpose】The students learn the cutting edge in the research field of plant biodegradation mechanisms in order to understand the conversion and protection technology of woody biomass.

【Summary】The lecture introduces the latest information of mechanisms of plant degradation by fungi and termites. The cutting edge technology in industrial application of plant biodegradation is also introduced in this lecture.

Expected Learning
Through the lecture, students are expected to acquire the deep knowledge how to control the biodegradation of woody biomass.

This lecture is an elective subject, and is one of the specialized subjects.
