Assessment/Grading
Prof. Yabe:A report
Prof. Matsumura:A report
Prof. Nishumune:According to a report described below.
Report
Select one research paper reporting cell adhesion mechanisms in plants. Write a report describing the followings: (1) full reference information of the selected paper, (2) summary of the results, (3) innovative aspect of the study, and (4) significance of the new findings. The report should be a one-page document using 11-point Arial font and single-spaced lines. It is recommended to use paragraphs and section headers for formatting the report. Submit electronically by email the one-page report and a PDF file of the selected research publication.
Message from instructor(s)
Prof. Yabe:In this lecture, I will outline our recent researches, focusing on research background and methods.
Prof.Matsumura:I hope you are interested in the wonders of marine life and the clever strategy using bio-signals.
Prof. Nishimune:The course will be taught in English by combining lecture and journal club style discussion (active learning). Students are required to attend lecture 2 and 4 to participate in the discussion.
