Course description |
SUZUKI Kaoru: Wild animal rescue, welfare, rehabilitation, techniques for handling animals and their samples should be realised. Outlines of animal anatomy and physiology, zoonosis, and reseach in wild animal medicine should also be realised. KANEKO Yayoi: In this lecture, we target mammal conservation/management, especially by understanding of topics focused at outside/inside of Japan. The lectures aim at understanding of concepts and terms of animal ecology, such as zoogeography, evolution, social behaviour, and population. Based on the fundamental science, the lectures focus on applied components in conservation. The students must develop discussion/presentation skills of current hot topics in small groups. |

SUZUKI Kaoru: 1.Realise the activities of wild animal rescue and conservation. 2.Learn appropriate animal welfare. 3.Realise the techniques of handling animals and public health concerning wild animals. KANEKO Yayoi: The lectures aim at understanding of concepts and terms of animal ecology, such as zoogeography, evolution, social behaviour, and population.
