Course description |
Aims: Students will learn the theory and research methods for ecosystem conservation based on vegetation science, biodiversity conservation, landscape ecology, and hydrosphere ecology. Outline: HOSHINO class Analyze present status of conservation of biodiversity such as impact on ecosystem through the inversion of alien plants and animals, nature restoration etc., and discuss about the conservation plan. IWAI class Lectures and practical exercises of mathematical biology. Students are required to well prepare for the class by working on end-of-chapter exercises. |
Expected Learning |
Students are required to gain knowledge of vegetation science, biodiversity conservation, landscape ecology, and hydrosphere ecology. And you need to gain ability to apply it to actual conservation planning.
