Course description
Outline
Aims:
Students will learn the theory and research methods for ecosystem conservation based on vegetation science, biodiversity conservation, landscape ecology, and hydrosphere ecology.
Outline:
YOSHIKAWA class
This course offers lectures and practical exercises to learn the importance of semi-natural vegetation and the technique of vegetation management.
IWAI class
Lectures and practical exercises of mathematical biology. Students are required to well prepare for the class by working on end-of-chapter exercises.
Expected Learning
Students are required to gain knowledge of vegetation science, biodiversity conservation, landscape ecology, and hydrosphere ecology. And you need to gain ability to apply it to actual conservation planning.
