Course description |
Goal: In this course, students will acquire the knowledge necessary to understand the latest research in the field of forest environment conservation, which is part of the discipline of natural environment conservation. Students will also study the knowledge involved in problem-solving in conducting natural environment conservation research. Overview: We will discuss the study of forest planning and its related studies; and the technique regarding a balance between environmental burden and productivity in forest resource production. We will also discuss the latest knowledge regarding methods of using forest resources, research regarding their impact on the surrounding environment, and its application. |

I. Understand the solutions through forest planning (studies) to issues related to forests. II. I. Chihiro KAYO 1-3. Lecture: Forest planning system in Japan, the historical transition of forest planning studies, spatiotemporal scales in forest planning studies, global warming measures and forest planning, forest growth models and harvesting regulations 4-7. Presentation and discussion: Surveys, presentations, and discussions regarding the regional forest planning in various areas. II. Masahiro IWAOKA 8. Introduction 9. Productivity - Common mistakes and search for mistakes 10. productivity - Search for mistakes and correction 11. Control engineering - Introduction (after this, reading in turns) 12. Control engineering - Transfer functions 13. Control engineering - Physical model formula 14. Control engineering - System response 15. Control engineering - System stability Please consult with the timetable because I (1 to 7) and II (8 to 15) above may be held in different class time during the same period or reverse order. |
Prerequisites |
This is an elective course classified as a special subject. In addition to attending 30 hours of class time, students are recommended to prepare for and review the lectures, spending this university’s standard number of hours and using lecture handouts as well as references. |
