Course description
Terahertz is the frequency range in which the wave has both features of the electromagnetic wave and light. Due to this unique property,THz wave have attracted tremendous interests from both scientific research and commercial applications. This seminar focuses on the study of technology; physics and applications of semiconductor micro/nano structures in the THz frequency range will be explored.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to train students to obtain skills of analyzing and solving the problem.
See the Curriculum maps.
Course schedule
Experiments are carried out by laboratory groups. Students regularly discuss and present for confirming the research direction. Moreover, students discuss experimental result and simulation result and find new meaning of the project. And after that, check the situation of researching. If there are some problems in this process, students should solve it. Finally, students should prepare for the presentation on the obtained results.
Prerequisites
Students are expected to have the standard amount of time to prepare for and review the lecture as specified by the University.
