Course description
This course deals with the following topics:
- Basics of nowadays computer systems and their basic architectures
- Problems and solutions in computer systems
- Modeling computer systems using Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Computer system building and its issues.

Course schedule
The lecturers introduce an overview of computer systems, their problems, and software technologies to solve them. The lectures also show how to model computer systems using UML and give an opportunity to deeply understand internal structures of computer systems by building a simple but typical web system.
Prerequisites
In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references specified below.
