Course description
The lecture will be started from the history and concept of electrochemistry, followed by redox reactions, electrode potential, ionic conduction in solution electrolytes, electrode reaction and construction of practical batteries. Also, new trend and contribution of battery technologies for realization of low-carbon society in the future.
Expected Learning
1. Understanding on history and concept in the field of electrochemistry, especially on the relationship between redox reaction and standard electrode potential
2. Acquiring on the concept of ionic conductivity, ion activity, solvation, and interphase between electrode and electrolyte
3. Understanding on electrode reactions, electrochemical measurements and construction of practical batteries
