The lectures are carried out by leading researchers from academia and research institutions to introduce research subjects related to chemistry and materials science at each lecturer. It is important for students to reflect the obtained knowledge on their studies. |
Expected Learning |
The standard of the course is to understand cutting-edge research subjects in various fields in chemistry and materials. Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps. |
Course schedule |
This is a five-day intensive course in five weeks by five lecturers, who are studying in different research fields in universities/research institutes. They will give lectures on research subjects from basics to cutting-edge topics in different areas related to chemistry and materials science. Submission of a report in each lecture is required. Lecturers will be announced at the end of September. |
Prerequisites |
In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and review the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references introduced in each lecture. |
