This course aims to provide basic understanding of the physical phenomena and core technologies used for photonic systems including fiber optic communication systems and optical sensing systems. |
Expected Learning |
By the end of the course, the students should be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding in the following issues: 1) Optical wave propagation in an optical fiber 2) Nonlinear phenomena in an optical fiber 3) Basic concept of photonic systems using optical coherence and their applications |
