Course description

This class lectures on the human properties and system design methods related to Virtual Reality.

Course schedule

The order may change depending on the situation. 1. Introduction of Virtual Reality. 2. Basics of VR programming. 3. Visual property. 4. Stereo display. 5. Auditory property and audio display. 6. Equibulium. 7. Somatic sensation and haptic display. 8. Introduction of of feedback control. 9. Quantification of sensation. 10. Collision detection. 11. Physics simulation. 12. Shared virtual environment. 13. Nonverbal communication. 14. Exercise. 15. Exercise.

Prerequisites

In addition to 30 hours in the class and the activities described above, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the classes spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University.
