Course description |
This 1-credit course aims to learn environment-friendly management of agricultural pests and to germinate collaborative research projects between agriculture and engineering. |
Expected Learning |
To understand methods of pest control for sustainable agriculture. |
Course schedule |
Based on presentations by students on their research topics, potential technologies based on the collaboration between agriculture and engineering will be discussed. 1) Guidance 2) Pests and beneficial organisms 3) Chemical control 4) Biological control 5) Physical control 6) Integrated pest management 7) General discussion |
Prerequisites |
In addition to 15 hours in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and review the classes by referring to handouts and reference books in accordance with the standard amount of time as specified by the University. |
