Course description
We will study in detail about Bt insecticidal proteins which are produced by a soil bacterium, Bacillus thuringiensis to understand whether they are really safe or not, since they have been being used as organic insecticides or gene sources for gene modified products. We will also study about insect defense mechanisms against microorganisms.
