Course description |
The students have the opportunities to engage themselves in a variety of tasks to develop the new perspective for understanding our global society by examining the characteristics of languages and cultures through many different lifestyles in Japan. |
Expected Learning |
1. To acquire basic knowledge through participating in a series of activities in English 2. To make presentations applying skills the students have obtained in class |
Course schedule |
1. Study trips (2 sessions/Dec, 2018 and Jan, 2019): collaborative workshops with international students 2. The lectures about Japanese language and linguistics 3. The skill development to teach the Japanese language systematically 4. Presentations and Discussions (February 2019) |
Prerequisites |
Intensive lectures for Leading program students; the detailed schedule for the study trips will be announced at the beginning of the course. In addition to 30 hours you spend in the class, and 10 hours in completing the essay task and presentation preparation, you are expected to prepare for, and review, the classes spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University for each class, using the handouts and the reference books specified below. |
