Course description
[Purpose] For students to focus on their own interests, negotiate and coordinate with related companies, and launch projects for realizing the Society 5.0 "Super Smart Society."
[Overview] Based on their own interests aimed at realizing the Society 5.0 "Super Smart Society," students experience the process of finding a company to work with on their own, negotiating, and starting up a project. In this seminar, each student proposes a project, using their own specialized knowledge, to a corporate instructor arranged by the student. The aim is to spark innovation for solving complex problems in agriculture, the environment, and other fields by using cutting-edge technologies in engineering.

Expected Learning
Ability of the student him or herself to launch and carry through a project with a company using his or her own specialized knowledge.
Course schedule
Using basic skills for creating industries mastered in the Seminar for Innovation for New Technology, each student proposes, as a project, a "sprout for creation of a new industry" to a person with practical experience at a company arranged by the student him or herself. Through this seminar, students propose and execute projects for solving social issues to achieve the Society 5.0 "Super Smart Society."

1st-2nd session) Orientation (project operation, execution)

2nd-5th session) Investigation/Coordination for project execution by each student

6th session) Interim presentations on project execution situation, Part 1

7th session) Interim presentations on project execution situation, Part 2

8th session) Final report presentations

Assessment/Grading
Interim and final presentations are comprehensively evaluated based on abilities in problem-setting, conceptualization, creativity, planning/implementation, and integration.

It is hoped that students will exploit their own specialized knowledge, boldly take up the challenge of adjacent and different fields, and develop the practical problem-solving abilities necessary to be high-level human resources with doctoral degrees in the future.
