Course description
A class: Determination of the contents of food products. Students will learn the basis of analysis and master the use of analytical lab ware throughout the course. They will also be aware of the concept of experimental error and its cause and consequence.
B class: Field and ecology
Based on the experiment on field work and ecological system, students will look over plant diseases, observe pathogen of plant diseases and confirm predation using serum-based analysis.

Course schedule
A class: Analyze the content of water, protein, fat and ash in cheese, and learn the principle of microscale analysis by quantitatively determine the content of vitamin C within softdrink. All the experiment is supposed to be done by himself/herself, and compare the own data with that of other students.
B class:
(1) Observation of disease of plants growing in the campus
(2) Observation of predation of plants by using serum-based immunological analysis.
Prerequisites
In addition to the lectures in the class, you are recommended to prepare and review the class using the standard amount of time as specified by the university for each class.
