Course description
A class: In this class experiment on microbiology, isolation and identification of bioactive microorganisms and determination and analysis of synthesis of bioactive compound will be performed and provided.
B class: Plant pathology and insect pathology: Discuss and get a knowledge on pathogens related to plant disease and insects.

Course schedule
A class
Observation and identification of microorganism responsible for the synthesis of bioactive compounds.
Isolation of microorganism responsible for the synthesis of bioactive compounds.
Synthesis of bioactive compounds.
Determination of the activity of bioactive compounds.
B class
Learn and understand the basis of Koch's law. Students will be aware of the mechanism of disease resistance by measuring the synthesis and activity of phytoalexin in susceptible plants. By infect healthy insect with pathogen and observe the symptom, students will learn the process of how the insect develops an infection.
Prerequisites
In addition to the lectures in the class, you are recommended to prepare and review the class using the standard amount of time as specified by the university for each class.
