Course description

Transition metal-catalyzed reaction is an environmentally benign method for the synthesis of useful compounds. In this lecture you will study the fundamentals and examples of the transition-metal catalyzed reactions. You will also study the chemistry of the interlocked compounds, which behave as molecules composed of two or more components "connected" without covalent bonds.

Expected Learning

1. You will be able to understand the basics of transition metal-catalyzed reaction. 2. You will be able to understand the chemistry of interlocked compounds.

1. Introduction; the basics of transition metal-catalyzed reaction. 2. Organic synthesis based on transition metal-catalyzed reactions. 3. The basics of interlocked compounds. 4. Synthesis and properties of interlocked compounds.

Prerequisites

The deep understanding of "Organic Chemistry" and related courses.
