Course description
Students will learn soil hydraulic, physical, chemical, and biological processes to find the best environmental management practices. During the class, the basic theory of water flow and chemical transport in soils will be taught. Examples of pesticides fate and transport in paddy and upland fields will be also covered.
Expected Learning
Understand water flow and chemical transport governing equations.
Know how to solve the governing equations.
Understand the fate and transport of chemicals in paddy and upland fields.
