Course description
This course provides an overview of the chemical basis of biomolecules and covers topics on enzyme kinetics, the characterization of major metabolic pathways, and their interconnection into tightly regulated networks.

This lecture is the common subject of the Department of Biological Production.
Expected Learning
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1. Illustrate the structure, function, and chemical reactivity of important biomolecules
2. Discuss the mechanisms of enzymes to drive reactions
3. Outline how and why cells and organisms regulate their metabolism
