Based on elementary grammar and reading, this course is designed to develop a higher level of proficiency in translation or written communication. Emphasis is on intercultural Understanding in German. This course is offered to advance students' intercultural understanding applying the knowledge and skills acquired in German I and II. |

Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to: 1. read and write high level German text with the aid of a dictionary. 2. understand and explain German culture. | Prerequisites |

Students are requested to take "German Ⅰ・Ⅱ" . Text of grammar and dictionary are needed. Students are recommended to spend 45 minutes in preparing for each class, and another 45 minutes in completing assignments and revising the class. |

Exam (60%)：to assess reading and tranlation ability based on a basic (German I) and further grammar knowledge. Class participation (40%): Class attendance and communication expression ability using text sentences is evaluated |
