Course description |
Based on elementary grammar and reading, this course is designed to develop a higher level of proficiency in translation or written communication. Emphasis is on intercultural Understanding in Chinese. This course is offered to advance students' intercultural understanding applying the knowledge and skills acquired in Chinese I and II. |

Prerequisites |
Students are requested to take "Chinese Ⅰ・Ⅱ" . Text of grammar and dictionary are needed. Students are recommended to spend 45 minutes in preparing for each class, and another 45 minutes in completing assignments and revising the class. |

Assessment/Grading |
The roll will be called every week. You must not absent yourself more than 4 times. The final grade will be assessed by the following criteria: (i) Class participation and results of small tests ― 30% (ii) Result of the final examination ― 70% The grade evaluation in this online class is premised on all attendances, and comprehensively evaluates the attitude to learn, quizzes, report, and online tests. Standard study time set by the University is required to get the grade. The rate of evaluation is as follows: General score: 10%, quizzes and assignment test: 20%, and online final test: 70%. |
