Course description |
In order to go richly healthy to live the college life and future of life, sport and exercise have important significance and value. This course is offered as one of the three courses of Sports & Health Sciences. In this lecture, five professors make a lecture on such 1) Sport culture and modern society 2) Physical and mental health and life style 3) Training and conditioning 4) Sport skills and exercise of learning and control. |
Expected Learning |
The learning experiences and activities in the course are designed to enable to students to: 1. Define and describe the multiple roles of sports culture in modern life: playing, watching and supporting 2. Understand the relationship between physical and mental health problems and lifestyle scientifically and to be able to plan the health management of their own lifestyle 3. Learn the scientific methodology of exercise prescription and physical fitness training, and that it will be able to take advantage of its own practice 4. Understand the learning process of sports skills and motor learning, and that it will be able to get the level up their own skills and motor learning. Prerequisites |
Attend the class specified by the department of the relevant major. In addition to 30 hours you spend in the class and 5 hours in completing assignments, you are recommended to prepare for and review the classes, using the handouts and suggested reading materials and spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University for each class. |

Assessment/Grading |
・Exam 75%:to assess basic knowledge and understanding on health and sports sciences and its application. ・Written report 25 %:to assess the understanding of the conept of health and sports sciences and the ability to explain the related research and application examples. Considering the results of both exams and assignments, a total of 400 points is evaluated as follows. S: >=90%; A: 80-89%; B: 70-79%, C: 60-69%; D: <60% |
