Course description |
This course is offered as one of the Humanities and Social Sciences courses of the Global Liberal Arts Studies. This course aims to consider the symbiosis among those who belongs to different ethnic groups and/or believes in different religions. To this purpose, this course deals with two cases; Malaysia and Japan. |
Expected Learning |
1) To conduct competency development: Autonomy, Intercultural Understanding, Global Awareness, Ability to Explore Knowledge, Academic Ethics 2) To understand and explain the core concepts and theories related to Studies of Multicultural Symbiotic Society 3) To understand and explain the current situation of Multicultural Symbiotic Society through the cases of Malaysia and Japan |

Prerequisites |
In addition to 30 hours you spend in the class, you are recommended to prepare for and review the classes, using the handouts available on Moodle and spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University for each class. The medium of instruction in this course is Japanese. Therefore, the ability of Japanese (listening, reading and writing) is required, while the ability of any other languages (English, Malay, Arabic...) is not needed. |
